2. Scope of this policy

• Claim / ownership data: verification details, authorisation statements, and documents or proofs you submit for listing claims.
• Communications: contact-form messages, support tickets, booking enquiries, lead forms, WhatsApp/call CTAs metadata, and review content.
• Billing & membership data: selected plan, billing cycle, amounts (subtotal, GST, total), billing GSTIN, subscription status, payment references, and invoice-related fields.
• Advertising data: campaign settings, keywords, budgets, creatives, performance metrics, and ad credit usage.
• Usage & device data: IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, search queries, referral URLs, approximate location derived from IP where available, and cookie identifiers.
• Partner fulfilment data: brand brief details needed to deliver complimentary website benefits (for example logo files, preferred domain, and contact for project coordination).

4. How we collect information

• Directly from you via forms, registration, dashboards, checkout, uploads, and support channels.

• From business owners when they publish listings that include public contact details.

• Operate, maintain, and improve the BizBook Goa directory, search, and related features.
• Create and manage accounts, listings, claims, memberships, and advertising campaigns.
• Process payments, calculate GST breakups, issue invoices where applicable, and prevent fraud.
• Route leads, booking enquiries, and customer messages to the relevant business.
• Moderate reviews, jobs, events, offers, ads, and user-generated content.
• Send transactional notices (account, billing, claim status, security alerts). Marketing messages are sent only where permitted and with opt-out options where required.
• Analyse usage to improve performance, ranking quality, and product decisions.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
• Coordinate complimentary website fulfilment with designated partners when you are eligible.

6. Legal bases & purposes

Depending on applicable Indian law and context, we process personal information to perform a contract with you (for example memberships and listing tools), to comply with legal obligations (for example tax/GST records), for legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Service, and based on consent where required (for example certain cookies or optional marketing).

7. GSTIN, billing & invoices

• If you provide a GSTIN at checkout or on your business profile, we store it to support GST-compliant invoicing and your ability to claim Input Tax Credit (ITC), subject to GST law and your eligibility.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of GSTIN and billing details. Incorrect information may delay invoices or affect ITC claims.
• We may retain GSTIN, invoice, and payment records for the periods required by tax and accounting rules.

8. Payments & Razorpay

Paid memberships and eligible advertising charges are processed by third-party payment providers such as Razorpay. Card and bank credentials are collected and processed by those providers under their own privacy terms. We typically receive confirmation data such as order/payment IDs, amount, status, and related billing metadata — not full card numbers.

9. Business listings & claims

• Listing content you publish (or that is approved after claim) may be shown publicly across profile pages, search, category/location pages, sitemaps, and promotional surfaces.
• Claim verification may require additional personal or business information to confirm authority.
• We may edit, hide, or remove listing data for accuracy, safety, legal, or policy reasons.

10. Leads, bookings & enquiries

When you submit a lead, booking enquiry, or contact request, the information you provide is shared with the relevant business so they can respond. Businesses must use that information only for responding to your request and must not misuse it for spam. BizBook Goa is not responsible for how businesses handle data after it is delivered to them, except where required by mandatory law.

11. Advertising & analytics

• BizBook Ads Campaigns process campaign configuration and performance metrics to deliver and report on advertising.
• We use analytics (first-party and/or trusted partners) to understand traffic, feature usage, and conversion funnels.
• Advertising and analytics technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers as described in Section 13.

12. Complimentary website fulfilment

If you purchase an eligible yearly plan that includes a complimentary website benefit, we may share necessary project details (business name, contacts, brand assets, domain preferences, and brief notes) with a fulfilment partner such as McFly World to deliver domain, hosting, and development services. That partner processes data under its own practices for the purpose of fulfilling the benefit.

13. Cookies & similar technologies

• Essential: sign-in sessions, security, load balancing, and core site functions.
• Preferences: remembering settings such as theme or UI choices where enabled.
• Analytics: understanding how pages and features are used.
• Advertising (where applicable): measuring campaign performance on BizBook Goa.

You can control cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break login, checkout, or dashboard features.

14. Sharing with third parties

We may share information with:

• Payment processors (e.g. Razorpay) for billing.
• Hosting, email/SMS/notification, mapping, search, analytics, and security providers.

15. Public information

Information you choose to publish on a listing (such as business phone, address, photos, offers, and hours) is public by design. Reviews and other user content may also be publicly visible. Do not submit confidential information in public fields.

16. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain business/tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. Billing, GST, and subscription records may be retained longer than general account data. When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymise information where practicable.

17. Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request to:

• Access or correct personal information we hold about you.
• Update listing or account details through your dashboard where available.
• Request deletion of your account, subject to legitimate retention needs (for example invoices, fraud prevention, or moderation history).
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based (without affecting prior lawful processing).
• Object to or restrict certain processing in limited circumstances.

18. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information (including access controls, encrypted transport where appropriate, and hashed passwords). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
